CD ReviewsSweet! D. Graham | lancaster | 12/23/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Another journey into bass and scratch with this class act from grand central records. (never ever bought anything but good music from grand central).Scratching and Fat Bass lines combined with some well chosen samples, all in all another quality release. Its such a good combination, the double bass and the mixing decks, Its in a league of its own.As i said on the review for THE MAIN EVENT, if you like scratching to flow with the music, and not over power it, then this is well worth a look. If you like shadow or coldcut, then look no further.Enjoy." An amazing album Per Kristian Hoff | Fetsund Norway | 07/15/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Amazing. They have truly outdone themselves. The Main Event was an excellent album (though a shame it didn't include the track Drunken Master, which is superb track to truly show off sneaky's bass plucking skills), but this surpasses the first by far. If you haven't heard any of fingathing, here's the deal: Two people. One on turntables, and one on the standing bass. You might call this instrumental hiphop, but it would not do the cd justice. You have to hear, it's music quite unlike anything I know." A definite Album in anyone's CD collection gr2763 | bristol (UK) | 07/05/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "A magnificent album in which the art of turtablelism and the powerfull sound of the double bass intertwine beautifully to produce some of the best tracks I have heard in a while. The skills are incredible and the result hypnotic. Some tracks will be a bit surprising and you may dislike them at first but with a few listenings one learns to appreciate the music for the talent and genious involved and then the music sounds completly different. Start with track 2,3,7,11 and 22 and then work your way to the others. It is an album you never get tired of listening to for its is filled with things that you discover each time over and over again, detecting sounds and skills. I never fail to be amaised at some of the scratching or sampling and most of all by the incredible sneaky.Buy it!!! its incredible"
