Album Details

Hip Hop: Fingathing are the two piece live and recording outfit consisting of 'scratch wizard' Peter Parker on turntables & Sneaky on Dub bass. 'Main Event' is rooted in Hip Hop but goes well beyond any of the commercial trappings of the genre. It features special guest appearances by Mr Scruff, Veba (Former Rae & Christian vocalist) and the Danish DJ Noize. The sound is a well plotted mix of classic funk, breaks and strategic hard beats.

"First heard a couple of tracks on a grand central compilation cd. Thought, these guys sound good. Managed to see them play in Manchester England, with DJ Shadow - and was totally blown away. They are Peter Parker and Sneaky, and they used to play for Grand Central. They use a double bass, and a set of decks, there sound is unique - but not at all quirky, its all very smooth with a superb blend of bass and scratching. The tracks never over scratch - which tends to be a problem with some scratch djs. They also use samples to great effect, which makes the album a joy to listen to.If you are a fan of shadow or coldcut, then this album is a must. There second album superheromusic is also of a high standard, and is certainly a worth while purchase.If you ever get the chance, go see them live.
