"Put out in 1996,the way that I heard it was 'Sing...' was actually their follow-up to their 1967 'Cauldron' album(see my review).Better late than never,I always say.Cork Marcheschi;founder, bassist and special sound effects man, apparently has decided to revive Fifty Foot Hose. There was even some hard-to-find Japanese import 'Live&Unreleased' of a one-off live performance they'd done.Only way to describe FFH's music to a new fan would be 'obscure psychedelia'.Tunes that sort of had me sit up and take notice were the trippy opener "Fantasy",the highly experimental eleven-minute "5:00 To 5:11:33","Jet Lag" and "Picture The Sky".Maybe not a masterpiece, but still a fun trip to endure.Give it a shot.Should appeal to fans of Red Crayola,Terry Riley,13th Floor Elevators and Steve Reich."
