"This is the Laura album with the songs all rearranged. I suspect this was done due to the fact that "Trees Come Down" really turned out being one of the fan faves back in the day and maybe somebody decided to open this up with the strongest track. This is Fields' weakest release probably because you can tell that these are the songs of a band still finding itself. the songs are somewhat derivative at some points (I hear the Cure, Sisters and even early Cult at times) all filtered through their style of songwriting. But that's not such a bad thing. Later Fields really comes into their own with a sound that becomes wholly their own. But this CD is worth it if you are into Fields, it's really quite good for what it is and it has the very excellent original version of "Trees Come Down" which I beleive is not available on other Fields' releases (not 100% sure about that now, but it used to only be on the Laura cd back in the day) and it's a track worth getting even if the rest is not as good. I would recommend this CD in order to make one's collection really complete."

"Don't really understand the point of this. It's just the Laura Ablum (FOTN worst by a long shot) with the songs re-arranged.
I won't get it...I have owned Laura for years and listened to it maybe 3 times. Do yourself a favour and by revelations or Elizium or Earth Inferno(live) before this."
Raw Formative Period for Nephilim

"Certainly the least accomplished of their albums, but very worth owning for fans. It is fun to here the raw as well as the more subtle hints at the majesty that would come. Songs like "Laura", "Laura II" and "Power" are balls to the wall power Goth. Early fan favorite "Trees Come Down" is a slow-building, paganistic brew that grows into a stomp. The minimal, delicate "Darkcell" is dark and haunted and has always been a favorite. "secrets" displays some of the gentle, elegant style that they would develop further later. All in all, it may be Nephilim's worst (excluding the post-breakup 'Zoon' and the pre-reformation, unendorsed 'Fallen') but it's still very good and any fan should want to know what started it all. Oh, and I certainly have listened to and enjoyed it more than 3 times."
