Excellent intro to Vietnamese music

"This is a charming and very listenable recording of traditional Vietnamese folk and celebration music. Some of it could be played at court for special occasions, some could be played by your dear old Vietnamese grandpappy on the back porch. Especially enjoyable to me are the tracks in which "spoons" and jaw harp are played. There are a few points at which the music becomes monotonous, but for the most part it engages your interest. It certainly whets my appetite for more Vietnamese music!"
