"This album is an enigma of sorts. It may seem to the unsuspecting listener to be fairly straight-forward black metal. However, it soon takes twists and turns leading the listener into a realm of avant-garde noise, acoustic ballads, rap, and poppy metal riffs. Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3) produces the album and plays guitar as a.k.a. Neck Head. The other band members are only known by their stage names - McPatrick Head, Jigsaw Puzzle Head, LaBrea Tarpits Head, and Fifth Head.
This album reveals the more personal information about the band than the others and is more "produced" sounding. At first listen "Chiropractic" may seem a difficult listen, but the riffs get stuck in your head and you'll find yourself laughing outloud at the lyrics McPAtrick Head screams and growls.
If you can appreciate the role humor plays in music and can sit through a metal album than this album was made for you."
Faxed head the super group you never knew

"This album is their best definitely. From Demon's Chills one realizes these guys can throw out black crust like that of which Euronymous or Varg Vikeres hasn't seen. Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3) appears on guitar and mixing as Neckhead. Gregg Turkington (Zip Code Rapists, Three Doctors) is on vocals as McPatrickhead. The only other I know is Phil Franklin, the touring percussionist for the Secret Chiefs 3 is LaBrea Tarpits Head; drummer. This super group of Avant/Wierdo musicians is some of the heaviest yit that has ever been created. This is too much for anyone who thinks Linkin Park is metal. This album is so heavy, even the mix is bending under the pressure. (and tweaking, dropping, slowing...) Amazing music from amazing people. I believe...."
It's all printed there on the lyric sleave...

"A ripping album this - much better than the straight-forward, and blocky, "Exhumed at Birth" - with the humour, grind, and production of the consolidating, "Uncomfortable but Free". This, though, has a variation in tracks that ensures longevity. "Chiropractic" is Faxed Head's best release so far. A real party band."
An Acquired Taste

"The first time I drank Guinness I found it harsh and almost repulsive but after a while the desire to have it again became so strong that once I did try it again I was hooked. That experience is quite similar to my initial exposure to the "music" of Faxed Head. As far as I'm concerned this is as experimental as experimental music can get. The lyrics are sung (growled, barked etc) in such a way that the liner notes are the only way the listener can understand the dark, humorous ramblings of vocalist McPatrick Head. Lyrics aside, the music itself is noisy, raw and often goes in ten different directions at once. As the title of my review states, Faxed Head is certainly an acquired taste; however once you have listened to the insanity that runs rampant on "Chiropractic", I'll almost guarantee you'll find yourself coming back for more."
