"This is a collection for Fats Waller fanatics. Here you will find some of the lesser known numbers, including a rare recording of "Reefer Man" ["... I dreamed about a reefer five feet long, a might immense but not too strong ...]. Recording quality is very good. Contains quite a few vocal numbers. Most of all, this is a collection for us Fats fanatics who get chills up and down our spines from the incomparable chemistry between the corpulent king of swing and his keyboard. None of these cuts include an ensemble ... it's just Fats and his piano, and that's enough for me!"
This is a great CD

"This was the first Fats Waller CD I bought and it is still my favorite. It's a mixture of piano instumentals and Fats singing along while he played the piano. I have heard other Waller songs since I first purchased this CD, but a lot of them have Fats playing with his band. On the CD's I have heard with Fats playing with his band, I think he sort of gets drowned out. Fats Waller could really play piano and this CD let's you hear just that. The only thing I would have liked better about this CD would be if Fats sang on more of the songs. Overall, it's a great CD, you should buy it."
