"fat freddy's drop can't get any more basic than any other band, but they have something a normal band wouldn't have. a unique sound of new zealand roots/soul with a backbone of jazz with a twicth of dub/funk/dance/grooves, if you want to lay back and sooth souly on a sunday afternoon or even everyday then this is totally for you. dallas a.k.a: joe dukie is one of the most soothing soulful singers in the world today, dj mu a.k.a: dj fitchie the beatmaker,producer is currentley known as one of the best producers in new zealand today thriving wicked beats to make your back move your eyez close and your hands rise. fat freddy's drop got voted best live act in 2002 from the b.net awards, also midnight marauders was voted best song released in oct 2002.if you enjoy these guyz you'll have to check out bands such as: EBB,TRINITYROOTS,TUBBS,SALMONELLA DUB,LOOP SELECTS (be warned all of these artists/titles are all new zealanders so most of them you would only find on (new zealand websites). i could write a story on these guyz but i'm not going to but this is an oppurtunity for every one of you guyz to listen to these incredible musicians from windy wellington they are the best group i have heard and they are number one on my favourite bands lists very soon it will be yours i bet you any time. thanks for taking your time in reading this review i hope you enjoy there music.......cheerz josh"
