CD ReviewsFastway - 'All Fired Up' (Sony) 4 1/2 stars Mike Reed | USA | 10/10/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "Originally released in 1984,this was the follow-up to the band's self-titled effort(see my review)and just about as good,if not better.Cannot believe there are only two other reviews of this metal classic.Tracks here that make this CD reissue a true keeper are the title cut "All Fired Up",the ass kickin' "Steal The Show","Tell Me",their power-ballad "Stranger" and "Telephone".Sure would like to see these guys reunite sometime.Hey,reunions are HUGE these days." Couldn't have said it better! Kevin Smith | usa | 03/29/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Der commissar.Great review! If you could see is one of my favorites on there. Not much more that I can add,you covered all the bases!People I know the prices may be a little high for this album, but definitely worth the price!A real rock classic.before you know it you'll be buying Fastway's whole catalog.Except the one's after Dave King(we won't go there!)." One of the best from the 80's, period! Patrick Mitsdarfer | Williamsport, PA United States | 02/13/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is even better than the first one! This masterpiece rocks from start to finish. This feels more like a real band record, more so than the first. I believe the debut used session bass players. All Fired up kicks off this molten slab of blued based metal/hard rock and never lets go until the haunting sounds of If you could see. Everything in between is pure delight to the ears and the soul. Misunderstood and Steal the show(my personal fave) rock straight at you, while Telephone and Station gets a bit bluesier. I can still remember the video for Tell me, it was a trip. Non-Stop love and Hung up on love rock hard and Stranger brings the mood down a bit. The playing here is sensational, Fast Eddie has never played better and Jerry Shirley's drums are incredible. This was such an underrated band and this was such an incredible record. I remember picking the cassette up in the $3.99 bin(1985) and couldn't believe it! These guys should've ruled the world, period. Dave King had such a good voice, his work with Katmandu was good also. All Fired Up will always hold a special spot with me, it filled the void for me due the fact I hated Bon Jovi, Warrant, Winger etc. It was a solid, heavy yet bluesy metal rock record. It was the antidote to the hair metal thing. Fastway I thank you for your contribution to my sanity and my life. Buy this and you'll see what I'm saying. This is one of the best of the 80's scene. The Debut is good, Trick or Treat is good(production quality is so-so) and Waiting for the Roar is good(took a while for me to say it though). But All Fired up is a must buy!! So what are you waiting for dude? The roar or something. Buy it...and love it..."
