"I first heard this CD on a Ski trip to Vermont. I first asked my friend "who the heck is fallen from grace?", but from the very first guitar riff I knew that these guys rocked. I'll describe it as heavy "trip-hop" beats enveloped in melodic guitars and lush lyrics. Every tune was catchy and radio-friendly, which I though was rather rare for a debut album. Overall I really liked this album and woudl recommend it to anyone who listens to acoustic-style rock like John Mayer, Goo Goo dolls, or Dave Matthews."
Why are these guys not STARS!

"I'm always looking for new "work out" music. One day I was searching amazon and every cd I looked at said "people that bought this cd also recommended Fallen from Grace". I can't beleive these guys aren't on a label, you would never know from the quality of the CD. All I can say is wow! You know that feeling you get when you hear talent. Nothing but pure talent. This is definately my kind of "get off your butt and move music". Wonderful beat and lyrics. I usually get tired of a cd after one or two visits to the gym but this cd only comes out of my player to go in my stereo, then back to the cd player before my next trip to the gym. Fallen from Grace, when are you putting out another CD?!"

"This album is seriously solid. I found them by their 30 sec. mp3 downloads.
Starting from the first song, you are trapped in their little "world of music."
This CD has made me regain confidence in the music that is out there. I recommend this to anyone who loves great songwriting.
This band has a mixture of Folk acoustic with an urban twist.
It is not far off from Jason Mraz and John Mayer.
Real catchy hooks.
A must buy!!!!!!!!! Jack Walsh"

"...and I have to tell you how great this band is. I stumbled into them on mp3.com, and can't tell you how happy I am that I did. It's not often you find a band destined for the airwaves before they get there. These guys will get there.Their website says they are planning a tour of the northeast US, and I hope they play near me, because I'd love to see them live. You can't go wrong with this CD. I don't have all the pretty words to describe it, but if you love upbeat, catchy tunes with a great guitar riff and a foot-stomping beat, this is the one."
A gift to your ears

"It's kind of cool when you stumble across a relatively unknown band that blows you away...it reminds you of just how much hidden talent there is out there. And it saddens me to think of all the trash that we see on TV or hear on the airways that passes for music. So when I hear a CD as refreshing as this, I have to share my thoughts with the world.
Fallen from Grace appears to have honed on in the one particular aspect of music that has universal appeal: melody. I agree with the other reviewers in saying that this album does rock. It is difficult to say if Fallen from Grace falls into any particular genre of music, so I'd venture to call it acoustic-trip-rock (whatever that is). This is based on its mixture of electronic percussion and airy guitars. It retains its cohesiveness with a few recurring elements: melody, acoustics, and beats (and by beats, I mean thick, progressive beats!). Although the album contains a similar texture throughout, I was surprised at their ability to portray a variety of tones and moods, as well as multiple interpretations of melody, each one an interesting spin on their style. The single driving force behind Fallen From Grace is their ability to create good-sounding music. And although it can be argued that they bring nothing terribly original to the table, I was pleasantly reminded that the whole point of music is to entertain. And entertain, they did.
Songs:
The first song on the album, "Catch it if you can", has all the ingredients of a hit; a driving beat, sweeping chorus, and catchy lyrics. It's the kind of song that can wake you up and put a smile on your face. Probably the best tune on the album.
"Too far to reach" is an acidic, down-tempo ballad about man's vulnerability and insecurity. It is eerily powerful, having achieved an almost perfect balance between the visceral and the electronic...drums like heartbeats and a chorus swaying in a weepy fashion. Greg almost reaches the surreal as his voice echoes and weaves through layers of guitar.
The band even makes references to 9/11 with their catchy tune "As the world stands still", an acoustic-rock tribute to the WTC disaster. It has the energy and vitality of an individual coming to terms with his prowess and ability to survive. I could go on about each song, but part of the magic of this band is discovering their fresh and vibrant sound yourself.I think the best thing about Fallen from Grace is that all songs are conceived, written, and performed by its three members. You get the impression that they really like what they are doing. Every song appears to be "well though-out", as the album does not appear to be a vehicle for one or two good songs with a bunch of "filler" music thrown in to fill up the tracks. Although I must admit that I happen to favor the first half over the second half, after listening to "road to anywhere" (final track), there are some obvious gems toward the end of the CD as well. Overall, it appears as if Fallen from Grace has lined up all their cards for our choosing, as the album is more or less a stepping-stone from which their true direction as artists will emerge. Therefore, it is the definition of a debut album. After listening to it several times I am convinced that this group of guys has a good chance of becoming a top-ten selling band. I'm curious to see what they're working on now, and if they have decided to incorporate more live instruments into their music. I'll be happy if they continue to produce great-sounding music, even after the executives get a grip on them."
