Utter brilliance

"Th' Faith Healers are perhaps the most brilliant band to emerge from the early 1990s North London indie/alternative scene. With an extremely tight focus, Tom Cullinan's guitars lines alternate from precise lines to noise outbursts, while Roxanne Stephen's vocals have an almost hypnotic quality to them.Their second album, "Imaginary Friend", is a bit more mature and restrained than their first, "Lido". They use more subtle changes of quiet/loud elements and seem more focussed overall. This didn't keep them from closing the album with a 19-minute drone, "Everything, all at once forever", which just seems to endlessly repeat the same guitar riff without ever getting boring (it was voted the most popular song on th' Faith Healers fan web site). One of the saddest days ever was when I heard that th' Healers split. Appreciate this album as a sign of their greatness."
