"if you think the price tag is costly as what i thought prior to purchasing this, every doubt will be erased by the time you finish hearing the first track. the vocalist reminds me alot like mike vescera. the band plays 80's hard rock without the cheese. no fillers here. this german band will bring you on a great nostalgic trip. the track heat of emotion is something i have not heard of, from new bands of this genre who lack the passion and feeling. essential for hard rock and aor fans."

"I am so happy Frontiers finally reissued the self-titled debut album by Fair Warning. Aside from a pricey Japanese import, I had a very hard time tracking this one down.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the band, Fair Warning is a melodic hard rock band from Germany. The best comparison is to say they sound like a cross between Bonfire and Firehouse, only better. I rarely encounter such an instantly addictive band. I picked up the CD single "Heart on the Run" a few years ago, and was hooked from the moment it started playing. Fair Warning is quite simply one of the absolute best melodic rock bands out there.

The band made their debut in 1991 with their own brand of ultra-melodic rock with catchy hooks, prominent keyboards, and energetic vocals. The album is fantastic from start to finish (as are all of Fair Warning's albums), and should appeal to all fans of the AOR/melodic rock genre.

NOTE: The 2006 reissue of Fair Warning has not been remastered, and it does not have any bonus tracks. Normally I'd complain a bit about that, but I'm just satisfied that I can finally hear this great album.
