It's a sunny day, you're driving in a convertible

"It's a sunny day, you're driving in a small convertible along a narrow, curving highway overlooking the Mediterranean... it's late afternoon ...on your way to a seaside villa for dinner and wine on the terrace. The breeze from the sea below is warm. Your new lover is beside you. You are both laughing. The soundtrack is "Fiore Di Maggio " by Fabio Concato. He sings about love, and longing, and beauty ...he breaks my heart. I can't understand a word Fabio is singing... but I know he is sincere! Soft, smooth, glossy and slightly retro - recorded and released in the eighties - it's classsic international pop. Because this was originally released on vinyl, it is only 36 minutes in duration - it deserves a place on the dessert tray - it's that sweet. Concato will appeal to those who enjoy: Silvio Rodrigues, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil or perhaps Milton Nascimento. Some US label should pick up Concato's catalog of romantic Italian pop and introduce him to an American audience. The Six Degrees label would be perfect! He would fit right in. If you have Rodrigues, Veloso, Gil, or a maybe little stack of disks from Six Degrees... Give Fabio Concato an opportunity to charm you with his sunlit mediterranean style."
