Essential for FM fans

"FM was a Canadian rock trio in the late 70's and 80's who combined rock, electronics, jazz, and pop into a wonderful blend. This CD has live music, mostly songs off of FM's first 3 LPs: Black Noise, Surveillance, and City of Fear - thankfully, nothing off their other albums. It also has a bit of QuickTime CD-ROM files featuring songs."

"This CD was recorded live in concert in Toronto on November 19, 1994. It features the classic FM lineup of Cameron Hawkins, Nash the Slash, and Martin Deller. It is produced by Terry Brown, who produced Rush for many years. Most of the songs are from FM's first 3 albums. There are also two previously unrecorded songs, including "Hideaway," which is one of the best songs on the CD. They also do a killer version of The Who's "Baba O'Riley." I normally am not a big fan of live albums, but this one is excellent throughout. Listening to this CD makes me wish someone would release Surveillence and City of Fear on CD. If you like FM, buy this CD.
The CD also includes a CD-ROM file, with biographical informaton and video clips. I must confess that the video clips would not work on my computer, so I cannot review that aspect of this product. Nevertheless, the audio tracks are worth the price of the CD."
