CD ReviewsFM Reborn--and BETTER THAN EVER! T. G Krysinski | Medina, New York United States | 07/05/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "If anyone that loves the very best in melodic rock stumbles upon this review, let me say this: I know these guys were/are a pretty big deal in the UK. Not very known here in the US. Their brand of soulful 80's style melrock never quite caught on here. And truthfully--I was never much of a fan, even tho they wrote with class,it just wasn't my cup of tea. With this new revitalized release,Metropolis--let's just say they've returned IN SPADES!! This rocks out and has an overall edgier approach to any of their previous albums. Every song on here is simply superb!! Don't believe it? Check out samples here or anywhere online or at their site/myspace. Metropolis is one for the ages, folks. Songwriting just doesn't get any better than these tracks. Along the way you'll find a few gentle reminders of past hits from Bad Company,Bryan Adams,Little River Band,Foreigner, to name a few. But make no mistake--all these songs stand tall on their own merit. If you want to add one more awesome cd to your melrock collection, then look no further than this one. You'll love it- I promise! Enjoy! T" Truly great AOR/ROCK Fred Johnson JR | NY | 04/14/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "Yes it's AOR but I know I've missed it. I really hoped the new Giant release was going to fill the void but...It's always the voice that shines with anything Steve Overland has his hand in. His last solo release, "Diamond Dealer", was good but this is REALLY GOOD. The first few songs draw you in and make up for the semi-fillers at the end. If you were into FM in the 80's ( the first two albums ) you will love this. Great music and the voice is still there. The first seven songs are truly great. Hopefully they're back for a while. Thanks guys!"
