Better than the "Greatest Dance Mixes"...
Ziad R. Hakim | Beirut Lebanon | 09/27/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This one is titled "Dance Mixes" released in 2005 by Sony Bmg as printed on the back insert. Tracklisting is slightly different and better to my opinion than the previous release "Greatest Dance Mixes" which is more than double the price of this one. This version features two rarities that most djs are looking for, "Stop, listen, look & think" and "What you don't know".

Anyway, here is the tracklisting and timing of each song:

1- Point no return (Original Version) 6:07

2- Let me be the one (12: Version) 8:04

3- What you don't know (Bass Mix) 7:09 [First time on CD!!]

4- Come go with me (Remix 12" Version) 7:24 [Not the great original version, which gladly has been released on 2006 "80's Dance: Gold"]

5- Stop, listen, look and think (House Mix) 4:08 [Released as PROMO, very rare and very nice]

6- I specialize in love (Remix) 7:16

7- Tell me why (12" Version) 7:39

8- I wish the phone would ring (Extended Version) 6:21

9- When I look at him "Suave Mix" (Acoustic Version) 7:00

10- Seasons Change (12" Version) 7:46

This is a must for any dj, fan of Expose or freestyle.

Excellent collection

"I am very happy they released this, especially since they put some remixes on this collection that were not on the previously released more expensive Greatest Dance Mixes collection.

It happens I already had "Stop Listen Look & Think" but I am really glad they included it for the sake of other people who were desperately searching for it. Still- the Expose' remix most people want more than any other is the unreleased Dakeyne mix of "Tell Me Why" which I beleive was put out through the DMC remix service back when the song first came out.

I got this as well as the Taylor Dayne & Cyndi Lauper dance diva remixes collections and was very happy with all of them. I also bought their recent George LaMond "Where does that leave love" collection because it has the rare "1990 Club Mix" of "Bad Of The Heart" thouugh I dont understand why the rest of that CD was filled with album versions, when they could've given him a Remix CD just like this Expose collection and I think a lot more people would've bought it. I hope they are eventually planning on releasing a full budget remix disc for him.

If Sony/BMG really wants to cash in on remix re-releases, they should also put out budget remix & rarities collections for Gloria Estefan, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Lissette Melendez, Ace Of Base, Real McCoy, Snap!, Black Box, Basia, Celine Dion, The Cover Girls, Lisa Stansfield, to name a few of the ones that would really fly of store shelves."

"I always like to hear re-mixed or longer versions of familiar songs from artists CD/LPs. This CD has the songs I liked the most from this group and did a good job remixing some of the tracks. Overall, this CD is worth owning."
