"I have known Geoff Gee for a few years and have had the pleasure of seeing his performances, both formal and informal, several times. If you are not familiar with Geoff, Excursions is the perfect introduction to his terrific range and his natural ability to improv. Some of the piano passages may evoke fond memories of Steely Dan (Aja, perhaps), while Russ Gold's percussion might suggest Dave Brubeck (Take Five). These two musicians are well matched and, if we are lucky, this is not the last recording they will make together."
