"Evie Sand's is the most brilliant singer/songwriter ever to be completely overlooked except by fellow artists such as Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Shirley Bassey, Freda Payne, and others who have recorded covers of Evie's great original songs yet it is Evie who easily does the definitive versions from her great songbook and they deserve to be heard!!! "Estate Of Mind" is a brilliant work on many different levels as Evie has never sounded better or more inspired as she does in this program of great songs all performed and arranged to perfection. Hot and rocking is the opening "A Woman's Work Is Never Done" written specially for Evie by album producer's Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter who have a great feel for what is right for their great singer in every way! Exotic and sensual make the Evie original "Love In The Afternoon" a memorable listening experience which should have been a huge hit. A sexy rocker with a haunting vocal make "You Brought The Woman Out Of Me" another winner in a collection that is full of them!!! Wonderfully soulful is Evie's masterful vocal in the gorgeous ballad "Take It Or Leave It" which also features beautiful keyboard work that is noticably great thoughtout this great collection. "Call Me Home Again" is another soulful ballad with a passionate vocal and the hot rocker "One Thing On My Mind" is so riveting that it would have gone to #1 if given any airplay at all! Numerous singles were released from this great album but none were given any airplay and anyone who gets into this amazing work will wonder why as this is comparable to classics such as "Dusty In Memphis" yet few know who this great talent is...listen to the pain and longing in the touching Evie original "Yesterday Can't Hurt Me" and weep that the music industry has not given this great talent her just due...Evie Sands is still recording after being away for twenty years and her most recent "Women In Prison" is another classic set of originals that features an artist who is still at her peak! Another hot rocking cooker that should have and still could be a hit is the sensual rocker "I Love Makin' Love To You" which is musical seduction at its finest! A trip to the country in the illuminating "Early Morning Sunshine" and romance is bliss in the soulful "(Am I) Crazy 'Cause I Believe" which features a great bongo player. Brilliant unreleased bonus tracks like the exhuberant "Music Man" which features a great David Foster keyboard flowing through a masterful arrangement make it amazing that this stirring and unique classic was never released as this riveting athem could have been a huge hit...wildly soulful with the Stevie Wonder "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours", this hot version would make Stevie smile with approval...intoxicating is "You Can Do It" which flows with great rhythm and a magnificent vocal that will make anyone who loves great singers fall in love with this one as Evie soars in a swirling mind-blowing arrangement!!! Closing this incomparable collection is a rousing salute to Motown with a killer version of Smokey Robinson's "The Way You Do The Things You Do" that is a hot rocking masterpiece! Since the sixties, Evie Sands has been one of the most consistently brilliant of all the singer/songwriters plus vocally possesses the best voice of them all yet Evie is stangely the one who has been totally overlooked and without any commercial success...DO NOT MISS THIS if you love great singing at it's finest while this great work is available. Thank you Evie Sands~you are an amazing and extraordinary talent..."

"Bradley Briggs' review is perfect and I'd like to add that Evie Sands had a minor hit in 1975[#50 Billboard Hot 100 Singles Pop Chart]with her highly acclaimed "45" single "I LOVE MAKIN' LOVE TO YOU" in various markets across the USA. [Even Karen Carpenter, inspired by Evie's version, recorded an unreleased version in the late 70's which has yet to see the light of day.]I still recall the excitement this single created, how it burned up the radio airwaves here in Houston and I have my treasured copy of this incredibly sexy and fiery performance of Evie Sands ever captured on vinyl. It's great to have her albums available again, just to hear her soulful voice - these reissues are worth their weight in gold and not to be missed. I also highly recommend the RED BIRD STORY CD BOX SET(4 discs)Charly Records British import if you can locate a copy, featuring every "45" the early 1960's label recorded, hit or non-hit, including Evie's classics "I CAN'T LET GO" - "TAKE ME FOR A LITTLE WHILE", plus her rowdy, rousin', ass stompin' grown up chick anthem "RUN HOME TO YOUR MAMA", which more than made her labelmates the Shangri-Las sound like fluffy teen queens in comparison...too few sides she waxed for that label as a very young girl. Miss Sands deserved much better than the music business allowed her, yet, it's a miracle we are able to still find her recordings on the market after so many years."

"This should have been a 1975 smash. Excellent pop/soul/rnb. Evie has a great voice and deserved to be a big star. A must have!"
