"Everon is a unique but obscure prog-rock band from Germany, who play some of the most amazing music I've ever heard. Oliver Philip, vocals and keyboards, also does just about all of the songwriting for the band. Normally I prefer a band where every musician contributes to the writing, but Oliver writes the most incredible lyrics and orchestral parts, they're the real highlights of the album in my opinion. There's no really difficult or technical passages on the album, but Bridge is one of the few to ever actually MOVE me, no BS. At the end of the album, it all comes together with the Bridge Theme and leaves you breathless. As a 14 year old guitar player who mostly listens to Symphony X, Sonata Arctica and various shred bands, Everon has greatly influenced me and made me decide that I wanted to write really meaningful music rather than focusing on technicality so much. Of course there still are some rocking guitar jams in there, like on Puppet Show or Across the Land, but what invariably draws me in is the epic and emotional songs like Juliet and the title track. If you want music with sincere, honest emotion, pick Bridge up."
