"This album starts out with a Bare-Naked Ladies sounding "So Much Better" and quickly moves to cover multiple musical styles, from an easy listening cover of "Tin Man" to a Matthew Sweet like discordance in "Manhattan". It is amazing when one artist can cover so many styles with such ease and skill. Evan creates choruses in his songs that draw you in and keeps you humming for days. I've been listening continually for about a week and only find "In You" to be a weak link, while "Falling" and "Timing" are awesome. Great album, well worth the money."

"Obviously a very talented guy- he performs all the instruments, backup vocals, and did all the production himself! The music is awesome- his voice is good, the guitarwork is competent and fun, lots of catchy beats, riffs, and hooks. His overall sound is rich and deep and attention-holding. Very well done. Several awesome songs, and the rest very good. The songwriting is great- poetic in parts, thought provoking in others, moving in still others, and smile-inducing in some parts. My only complaint is the 5th song, "Deep In You." A song with such a wham-bam-thank-you-m'aam tone with the chorus about being "up in you" in "the place that's so warm" is a little too irreverent to be played in our family room. Some, like me, may find this song's cheapening of sex too bothersome to be comfortable enough to enjoy the song."

"Excellent debut effort from Evan Olson. A rare find these days, in terms of musical ability vs. image. Evan wrote, produced and played all instruments on "One Room".... If you are into positive, uplifting pop-rock, this one's for you. Standout tracks include "Falling", "So Much Better", "Don't Break My Fall" and "A Million Things". The future looks bright for Evan Olson."

"I got this one for my birthday from a very good friend. I don't think I'd have heard it if I didn't get it that way. I am in BC Canada and I doubt that it is even available up here. I absolutely loved every song on the CD. I think it's pretty rare when a CD like that comes out, espcially on the first listen. I am sure it will be frequently seeing the inside of my CD players. :) I even sent Evan an email and told him how much I loved the CD and he or someone at the office actually answered me and very quick too. Nice to have that personal touch. This is a must get!"
