Product DescriptionOn this brief four-song effort, Eulogies offer more of their ethereal indie-pop, a cross between the elegant melancholy of Cat Power and the driving post-emo guitars of contemporaries like Silversun Pickups. In fact, the mini-album's finest moment is its last, "Two Can Play," in which the Pickups' Nikki Monninger joins Eulogies leader Pete Walker for a little flirtatious vocal interplay. That track actually veers toward the sounds of a classic romantic '50s pop ballad. It's a sign of maturity from a band that has always made pleasant, engaging albums, but is maybe peeling off a layer or two to return with a bit more nuance.
