"The variety in this album makes it of interest both to the "bubble-gum" crowd of the 1960's and '70's (Nuestro Amor ...," and "Monsieur Dupont," for example) and to those of us who prefer the more traditional Latin music. The music will tempt any listener -- of any age -- with a love of dancing to get to his or her feet and rhumba, tango, polka, or even do the "twist," across the living-room floor! The voice of Estela Nunez is what makes this an extraordinary album. Her keen ear and vocal quality are impressive, though she is too rough on her vocal chords in "Volveras" and in parts of "Historia de Amor," in both of which she strains to produce volume where a softer voice would have been more effective. One wishes that she had had better vocal coaching and directing for such pieces. I wish that she were producing new recordings, but have been unable to find out what has happened to her incredible voice or her musical career."
