"In short he may not mix as well as others, but the collection of songs that Pete Tong puts together are awesome. This 2 disc set starts with a "Terrace Mix" that is just great with songs from Spiller, Different Gear vs. the Police, Black Legend...all great and classic Pete Tong picks. The second CD "Late Night Mix" is a bit more trancy but still a great collection. Some say that his style is too "Pop-ish" and I agree, but if you enjoy dance music and have heard his stuff before, I can't recommend it more. If you're looking for cutting edge "electronica" this will leave you feeling a bit cheated. I say have your Pop and eat it too...heh"

"I now have several Pete Tong mixes and this one is by far my favorite. The first disc is more housey that starts with a nice groove that makes you want to get up and dance that transitions nicely into a classic Police song. The disc then moves into a hip-hop feel and the all of a sudden your hearing Eric Clapton which works well with the track selection. The latter part of disc one moves into a more trancey mode which is a primer for the second disc. The second disc is more like something you might hear from some classic Oakenfold. It is not real hard trance but just right for Tongy and a nice set at that. His mixing on this CD is very good but not on par with Sasha or Digweed. However, the track selection makes this one work and work well. If I only had one Pete Tong disc this would be it. So if your curious about Pete Tong I would highly recommend this disc as it is highly accessible and does not wear with the passage of time. Cheers!!"
