"France's Eskaton took their lead from the most famous of French Progressive bands Magma, and the innovative style of music Magma created called Zuehl. Zuehl is somewhat difficult to describe but includes heavy thunderous bass, complex, shifting time signatures, and unusual chorus like vocals. Like I said, kind of hard to describe this music.



Eskaton took this basic formula and added their own touches. They used two female vocalist and their own songwritng and arrangements to create some intense, emotional and at times almost classical sounding music. The vocals are in french and speak to the struggles of existance.



Arduer includes all the best qualities of zuehl and is fine addition to any adventourous listener's sound palate."
