CD ReviewsMY IDOL - Mr. Erroll Garner A. Browne | USA | 01/29/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is my second review for Mr. Erroll Garner (the 1st was deleted). I was a young child when I first heard the piano sounds of ERROLL GARNER. MR. GARNER IS MY IDOL. His piano playing (as many pianists know) was remarkable. MR. ERROLL GARNER PLAYED LIKE HE HAD TWO LEFT HANDS! HIS LEFT HAND WAS AS STRONG AT KEEPING THE RHYTHM JUST LIKE HIS RIGHT HAND. HE WAS AN AMAZING PIANIST IN OUR CENTURY. Not since the great FEDERYCK CHOPIN have we had such a fine pianist as MR. GARNER, who by the way played much like the great Federyck Chopin (who also played as if he had two left hands). This CD will travel with you and mesmerize you as well as have you tap your feet and even do the mambo. MR. GARNER'S style of playing was diversified. Now I understand why CELIA CRUZ announced ERROLL GARNER as the Mambo Piano King in many of her salsa songs. Because he truly was the Mambo Piano King of the decades of the 30's to the end of his time in the 70's. MR. ERROLL GARNER IS WELL MISSED AND TRULY, TRULY LOVED. I hope this message stays with this CD review, because it is a special review coming from his biggest fan. 1.28.04" Erroll Garner's Finest Hour Donald D. Moore | 07/12/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "I cant' understand how a person with such short fat fingers can make such beautiful music with a piano. Every age produces a sevant. Erroll is ours."
