"Erroll Garner continues to radiate a palpably felt and indescribable kind of joy in an otherwise very confused and disturbed world. "Easy to Love" is a must have for all those want to experience that joy. Great cuts like his "Somebody Stole My Gal," his humorous yet awkardly transcendent tearjearker on "September Song", his hard-swinging rendition of Cole Porter's "Easy To Love" and a hearwarming rendition of "I Hadn't Anyone Till You". "Lover, Come Back To Me" is a great swinger while "As Time Goes By" is an emotional and impactful tour-de-force by the magnificent Mr. Garner. "Out of Nowhere" is a ballad that has been overlooked for such a long time. His version of "Taking a Chance On Love" shows Garner's awesome ability to transmit the personality of a song. He plays as though he is playing the part of a man who just got dumped by a girl but adopts a carefree, confident attitude of "Let's give it another go at love, plenty of fish in the sea you know!!! I can almost guarantee that as you hear this tune you will feel a jaunty confidence and joie de vivre that is singularly Garner's. A great Garner CD. Worth many listenings!!"
