"This outstanding blues-rock album could have easily been entitled "Blame It On Me" (my personal favorite) or "All Down Hill" or "Slow Down" or "So Long" or "Cold Blooded" or for that matter, after any of the other tunes included on this great CD. They are all of "title track" quality. As a master guitarist and songwriter, Eric Jerardi has now truly defined his own musical voice. His powerfully emotive guitar work (and monster tone!) has fully evolved from the influences of earlier-generation masters (SRV, Hendrix, Trower, the "Kings") and will simply astound you. Combined with his now matured, "from the heart" songwriting talent, this album is both irresistible and compelling. It's one of those CDs that you will listen to over and over again. Eric is backed by the best of the best. His long time friend and associate Curtis Sanford is undoubtedly one of the best drummers in the business today while bass player Jon Arnold (who appears on 6 of the 10 cuts) takes a back seat to no one. And did I mention Chuck Leavell? Perhaps the most talented and influential keyboardists of our generation, Chuck has now added the name Jerardi to his stellar, very select list of "clients" (which already include The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, The Black Crowes, Dr. John, and Government Mule...to name just a few)...a pretty powerful testament to young Mr. Jerardi! Playing on 5 of the cuts, Chuck's powerful yet tasteful performances put this CD over the top...a very, very special treat!! The down side to all of this involves his countless loyal fans here in Dayton, Ohio. With the release of this breakthrough CD, the Eric Jerardi Band has now been launched into the national spotlight. Our best-kept secret is out. Now we'll have to learn to "share" with all of the rest of you. For you connoisseurs of great blues-rock, this CD is a MUST HAVE.
