"During 2004 I was able to experience for the first time several Jazz artists like Voodoo Village, Bass X, Double Play and of course Eric Darius to name a few. After listening to Eric's previous project (Night on the Town) I said this guy has potential. Now after hearing this effort, I say Eric Darius has Talent (with a capital `T')! He is a gifted songwriter and musically he reminds me of a young Dave McMurray, Paul Taylor and Gerald Albright combined. On this project he surrounds himself with great Talent featuring Brian Culbertson, Paul Brown and fellow Saxophonist Euge Groove. This CD Smokes with Eric's version of the Jeff Lorber tunes 'Groove On' and 'Steppin Out'. His rendition of Alicia Keys 'If I Ain't Got You' is quite mellow and impressive. 'Cant Let Go' and 'Slick' had the JazzeOne rocking. If you have never heard of Eric Darius, you will with this outstanding CD as he is 'Just Getting Started' and is far from finished. This CD is a Jazz lovers dream come true and I am proud to be the first to review it. ~the JazzeOne"

"I absolutely love this new CD from Eric. Its soulful and classy, just like his first CD - "Night on the Town". If you ever have a chance to see Mr. Darius perform live, he has fantastic stage presence as he performs these songs!"

"Eric Darius combines smooth sax somewhat akin to a Boney James & David Mann mix. With Eric hailing from the Tampa Bay area, recently had the pleasure of seeing his live "Jazz On The Green" performance with Brian Culbertson - he along with Brian's dad covered the horn section superbly! "Right Here,Right Now" is as mellow as they come. Eric is destined for the top!"

"What a stunning and beautiful cd. I love this guy - his talent is amazing and you really have to hear him. He performs beautifully here and it's great work. Can't Let Go and Right Here, Right Now are fantastic and excellent to chill to at the end of a long day with a glass of wine and low lights or candles. It's sexy, smooth and romantic and you have to have to hear him. I want to get any of his other cds, because if it's anything like this, I'll be back in heaven soon. Fantastic smooth music. I am a new fan for life."

"After this young mans debut there was alot to live up to.Although there are some great tracks this is nowhere as strong an album as night on the town.I purchased this album Blind on the basis of his debut and wished for much of the same.May have something to do with his switch in label and production team.If you like this then i advise you to purchase his first release on Higher Octave."
