Still Holds Up

"This is one of the classic folk albums to come out of the 60's. And it still holds up. "Violets of Dawn" and "Thirsty Boots" are considered the "big" songs, but listen to "Close the Door Lightly When You Go". A great song. I had the pleasure of seeing Anderson a number of years ago in person, at a small club in Roselle, New Jersey and he was teriffic. My advice would be to get "Today is the Highway" and "Blue River" as well. In fact Anderson sings "Blue River" on the first album he did with Danko/Fjield (a very under-rated album). He gets better with age."
