CD Reviews

Silent Screams . . . brings screams of praise

"Eowyn just keeps getting better with each new CD. She is a truly gifted vocalist, but her true gift comes when she interacts on a personal level with the teens she has come to minister to.

The title track of this CD, Silent Screams, speaks to all those kids out there who feel like crying out in their lives but are afraid that no one will hear them. Eowyn hears them. And she directs them to Jesus who hears ALL their screams, even the silent ones.

While most of the songs on this CD are hard, driving rock in nature, Unfinished Memories is an absolutely wonderful ballad, written for her friend and former lead guitar player, who was killed in a car crash. If you have lost someone very special in YOUR life, you must listen to this song.

I absolutely love this CD. It's in my CD player more often than it is on the shelf. Please give it a try, and at the same time you can help Eowyn and her band continue their ministry.

God bless you, Eowyn!!!

"I am not one to review music. As a matter of fact, this is my first CD review. Take this either to mean I am not an expert, or take it to mean that this CD was so good that I had to say something about it.

Eowyn has a superb voice. This is what I would call a harder sound than her previous music, which is why I was drawn to it. It has a somewhat gothic sound to it, and each song appears to be backed by heartfelt emotions that resonate in the lyrics and the music.

Her brand of Christian music does everything I wish more Christian music did. It is performed by talented artists who don't just get up and strum a guitar and yell. Her voice is unmatched in its beauty and uniqueness. And, her lyrics seem to represent a Christian belief while applying to real-world situations. I like the harder sound, and wish more groups had such a good mix of quality vocals, lyrics and musicians.

This has quickly become of my favorite albums, and I wish she'd continue touring when she can."
