Synopsis

Product Description
Often overlooked because of their role in the hair-metal craze of the late '80s, Enuff Z' Nuff shares more common ground with power-pop luminaries Cheap Trick and Badfinger on this album than with the lipstick-and-leather crowd. Favorites is an exceptional way for music fans to become introduced to one of the most glanced over rock bands from the 80 s.

CD Reviews

Definitely NOT the Best of (nor my favorites)

"A GREAT unrecognized band that has enough fantastic material to release a killer boxed set, but bless 'em for cramming 19 tracks onto a single cd. Some of the choices, though, leave a lot to be desired. SHE WANTS MORE is one of the worst songs off the s/t debut. Should've just left NEW THING & FLY HIGH MICHELLE from that album. BABY LOVES YOU from the Strength cd shouldn't be on here; how about WORLD IS A GUTTER instead? TAKEN A RIDE from Animals With Human Intelligence(AWHI) is THE worst song on that cd, but they include that instead of LOVE TRAIN or the bonus track FINGERTIPS? Aargh! MY HEROIN from Tweaked is lame, should've been MR. JONES as well as HAS JESUS CLOSED HIS EYES. 5 SMILES AWAY from the great 7 album is okay, but the bonus track I WON'T LET YOU GO is one of the best tracks they've ever recorded and it's not on here. This cd is organized chronologically until track 18, when it returns to a cut from their 2nd album, Strength, and that cut is TIME TO LET YOU GO. I wonder if they were just trying to find a track that would fit time-wise. It's the only reason I can think of to include this weak cut. That and the last track, MAN WITHOUT A HEART, from their one bad album of original material, Welcome To Blue Island. There's so much material to choose from, for example: LET IT GO(Peach Fuzz), THESE DAZE(AWHI), GOODBYE, GOODBYE(1985), RUNAWAY(Live), WAKE UP(10), LITTLE INDIAN ANGEL(s/t), ... the list goes on and on. If you're only going to buy 1 Enuff Z'nuff CD, I guess you could go this route, since there are 12 great tracks still on it, but the best way to experience this outstanding band is to get their entire collection, including "?", the cd that was released after Favorites, and contains 7 really good tracks. I've made my own 3 CD compilation of my EZN favorites, and it consists of 60 songs... that's how great these guys are."
