He's not a guitarist, he's a singer and the greatest

"Do not buy this album if you like only flamenco guitar (that is, no singing). Enrique Morente is a flamenco singer and the greatest flamenco artist there is.
This album is a concept album where all the songs pertain to some cultural/historical part of the Alhambra in Granada. The album came about due to a documentary commissioned on the Alhambra which Morente worked on and became much bigger as it opened up ideas to the always experimental Morente. What resulted apart from the doco was this brilliant CD.
Not as good as his previous album El Pequeno Reloj (that may have been his masterpiece) from 2003 but also not far off it and easily still the best flamenco album of the year, it is a totally different type of flamenco album.
Again, this is not flamenco for tourists or fly-by-night flamenco listeners. If you like Gypsy Kings and think that's flamenco you will get an awakening. This is music for people who have souls and appreciate music which enters that soul."
