Album DescriptionGDM music presents on CD the special edition of the Ennio Morricone OST for the movie "L'attentato" (aka "L'attentato") directed in 1972 by Yves Boisset and starring Gian Maria Volont?, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Michel Piccoli, Jean Seberg,Philippe Noiret, Bruno Cremer. Refuged in Switzerland, Sadiel (G.M. Volont?), leader of the op position in a North African country, is a danger for Kassar (M. Piccoli), minister of the intern affairs. Through the journalist Darien (J.L. Trintignant), the french secret services invite Sadiel to Paris where is kidnapped in the city centre. Darien tries to save him, but the journalist is klled like Sadiel himself. All the Noir side of the social-political plot is well evidenced by the symphonic-electronic score by Ennio Morricone where the traditional orchestra is filled synthesized sounds of experimental kind. The dark atmosphere is given by atonal passages and broken by the romantic "Valzer all'ambasciata". For this special edition the stereo master tape of the album and the complete stereo session tapes have been used that gave the chance to add about twenty minutes of extra music.
