CD Reviews
This CD is well worth a Pungo di Dollari and then some

"This 2006 import of Ennio Morricone's score for Per un Pungo di Dollari (A Fistful of Dollars) is the best recording of the original soundtrack that I've ever heard. The eight originally released stereo tracks sound better than ever, but the restored additional mono tracks are excellent as well. This is amazing considering that the source materials are over forty years old. I used to think that this score was light-weight in comparison with The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, but after listening to this recording I can definitely understand why this is a favorite among Morricone fans. If it's not the best western soundtrack ever, it's certainly in the top five all-time. This CD is a must have."

"From reading the other reviews it sounded like the europeon version was superior to the american version. They were right. While I have not listened to the american version, I cannot imagine it being any better than the europeon. It is absolutly superb in its composition, arrangement and sound quality! I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the music of Ennio Moricone."
High praise!

"I concur with all of the above reviewers. I'd also like to add I'm a huge soundtrack/score collector and Ennio is one of my favorite composers. This may be better than "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" as far as a complete score goes. It's definately in my top 3 for Ennio and probably top 10 of all-time. Very enjoyable and haunting. I'm very glad I ordered this version."
