One of the finest of Morricone's "Lost " Scores...

"Though John Boorman's original vision for the sequel may be lost forever, leaving us with the mess today that goes by the title of EXORCIST 2: THE HERETIC, the best thing to come out of the whole experience was one of the most haunting themes composed by Morricone, the last of the old-style film scoring masters. The score is actually much better than the film it was written for, and even helps redeem the film in some ways. (The hilariously over-the-top disco version of "Pazuzu's Theme" is forgiveable, considering how bad the film itself is.) For the beauty of the Main Title and "Suspended Melody," though, the purchase of this soundtrack is definitely worth it."

"Finally available! While the movie was laughed at due to it's mishmash script and un-convincing acting. The only memorable element that came out from the whole thing was the soundtrack. "Pazuzu (Theme From The Exorciste II)" & "Interrupted Melody" still sound haunting today. This is one of Ennio Morricone best works, and I'm glad that it's been re-released and remastered.
Give it a shot!"
Simply incredible

"Whatever complaints I might have about the movie (and trust me, there's a bunch) they can all be tossed out the window when it comes to the excellent soundtrack the movie had. I wasn't really feeling any fear from the musical themes or atmospheric bits while watching the second Exorcist movie, but I found them highly enjoyable all the same. To me, just hearing good music is more important than how much it fits in with the storyline in the movie. This can be said for ALL soundtracks to ALL movies."
