"This, Ellen and Brian's latest CD, is their best yet. They had a great idea, and ran with it: set great old lyrics about faeries and such to music. The production values here are top notch: the playing and the engineering are their best yet, and Ellen's voice is pitch perfect and affecting (as always). The booklet is itself a lovely thing, and I can imagine, for many kids who love fantasy, will become a treasure.



The style of music is more varied than in their previous efforts, with Latin beats, a diversity of timbres and instrumentalists (including harmonica, trombone, cello!), and even moments in my favorite song so far, "Faery Riders," of progressive rock!



I hope listeners who like fantasy, tuneful singing, and good lyrics (indeed, classic poetry!) will give this album a try. The album's songs are often touching, sometimes magical, and, yes, can be lively and playful as well."
