"Her first album, the voice is young, but the lyrics are so mature, and the musicallity undeniable. She is a truely amazing artist. I've seen her live and she switches between electric guitar, piano, violin she is just amazing.Songs like "Go Now" "Only a Woman's Heart" (a classic here in Ireland) and The brilliant pop song "It's Mine", will send your heart soaring into the air as you put it on your stereo! She gets serious on "Apologise" where she tackles the whole mine field of domestic violence, but in a very constructive way. The other albums are great too, still, this has a special place in my heart because it's her first. Incidently, she's breathtaking live..... if you can catch her....."

"I buy a lot of music, and I don't always know anything about an artist before I buy... once in awhile I will just nab something off the discount/used rack because I get a good vibe off the packaging... from the smile on the artist's face... intangible stuff.Sometimes I find that I've bought absolute, forgettable crap this way... and sometimes I strike gold. This album is in the latter category by astronomical measures; lyrically, musically, production, soul, wit, heart... it's total goosebumps. It is one of my favorite albums... ever. I don't have the remastered version with the extra cuts... I have the original. If you are wowed by the best of the best in terms of songwriting, buy one or the other... you will not regret it."

"I adore this album and play it sparingly but without self-conscious rationing, and it sounds fresh and inspiring as the day i discovered EM.I thought she was pretty well known but the frontispiece of Charles 'The Graduate' Webb's clever novel, "New Cardiff", actually asks for contact details so as to rectify the book's lack of proper acknowledgment (and presumably some sort of copyright fee). Since "Cardiff" is shortly to be filmed, with 'Heart' probably prominent on the soundtrack, I have no doubt that Webb's publishers will need to seek no further.A gorgeous voice to rival any around and a phrasing that's all her known. We can't hear too much of Ms Mcevoy or be blessed too soon with her next album."
