"Energetic, moving music with terrific jams in the best of the Grateful Dead tradition."
Pop it in and hang on for the ride

"Although I graduated from The Ohio State University in '95 (where this band was a local favorite), I never really listened to Hookah until I recently bought this CD while looking for a good jam band. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This CD combines the best aspects of bands like Grateful Dead, Phish, Leonard Skynard, Wide Spread Panic, and others. However, it's not a rip off of those influences; rather, it exceeds them. I don't think there's a song on this disc that's less than 4 and a half minutes long, and several are in the 6-8 minute range. These guys can just keep a tune going on and on without allowing the music to stagnate. I was particulary struck by the 5th track, titled Loner. It almost feels like 3 songs in one, but with a wonderful continuity throughout the track that picks the listner up and takes him or her for a wild ride."
This album octofryed my brain...

"Dubbabuddah has everything from upbeat driving songs like "Backwoods Rose" and "Deep River Blues" to heartfelt heavys like "Bats in the bellfry" and "Haramonic Convergence" I love singing along to these songs...I think that there are some people out there on my commute that must think I am nuts while listening to this jammin' album."
