CD Reviews2nd Generation Brit. Punk Timothy S. Shipman | Washington, D.C. United States | 02/11/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "I saw no review for this album, and knew that had to be be corrected. Thus I was prompted to write my first review for Amazon.com. This album is that good! This review is titled as it is due to the fact that this album is a progression of the form from what bands like The Clash, Sex Pistols, Sham 69, X-Ray Spex, Uk Subs, etc. had done previously, hence "2nd Generation". Let there be no doubt, this is classic punk rock from the early eighties, when I was first introduced to this band. This album definitely reflects what was going-on musically at that time in punk rock. Elements of the punk that preceded this band is still present (i.e. fairly stripped-down and basic), but one can hear the initial birthing pains of what became hardcore, namely, fast paced staccato drumming, guitar and lyrics. But there is also an element of Oi here as well, what with highly anthemic, sing-along material. Along with, of course, political and social angst for good measure. This album holds it's own with the best of what was being produced by other contemporary bands of the period (i.e. The Exploited, Peter and The Test Tube Babies,Grievous Bodily Harm [GBH], etc.). I strongly recommend this to anyone who enjoys punk rock from this period of time. Almost without exception this album from beginning to end is fast, humorous, aggressive, and angry.Personally, I'd put this album on around 8A with a cup or 2 of coffee and be fueled for action for hours to come. Punk isn't dead, it just smells that way...as it should...in reflecting society in all it's corruption and greed! Thanks to Maggie and Cowboy Ron!Buy, listen to, and enjoy this album for many years to come. I've been doing so for some 20 odd years already. And will continue to do so!" OI ! AT IT'S VERY FINEST !!!!! JUAN MARTIN GABASTOU | Weston Hills, FL United States | 10/15/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "Man,this dudes rock pretty hard ! Streetpunk witha marked OI ! influence to it,these trio manges to sound more OI ! and exciting than any other OI ! band I've ever heard ! The complete ¨A Touch Of Class¨ 1982 lp + a myriad of single versions and B sides totalling a full hour. These are a fun band, not politically oriented and that's why the OI ! sound strikes as odd but tracks like ¨East End Kids¨ with an intro consisting of a girl speaking in THE most exaggerated cockney I've ever heard or ¨Have You Got Ten Pence¨with a spoken begging for a coin and corresponding negative in the middle of the song are simply hilarious !!! A criminally overlooked band indeed ! The overall sound id very good, only complaint being guitars are low in the mix" MORE KILLER OLD SCHOOL UK PUNK Stu Nietzsche | Cana, VA USA | 05/29/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "Imagine UK SUBS frontman Charlie Harper fronting a slightly more aggressive Adicts. That's just the beginning. The Ejected stripped themselves of the usual UK punk fashion BS (they deal with this lyrically)and turned out both an EP (included here as extra tracks) and debut album that demands to be in your music collection forever."
