Although it keeps a song based orientation with the same singer throughout with occassional guest vocalists to add to the mystery. He plays haunting synth textures, his synth timbres slice through the gloom, his intricate loops are infectious, and he sings most of the mournful leads. The music is deep, intense, and ingeniously constructed. Vonallen has successfully amalgamated the styles of his influences - Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Recoil, Enigma, and Front 242 - and delivers heart-wrenching material on Incarnation, his debut CD.
