A Nice Surprise in the 20th Century Masters Series!

"While Motown already has an Edwin Starr anthology available--1998's excellent The Very Best of Edwin Starr--this collection is a rarity in the 20th Century Masters series in that it actually improves upon an existing release. While the 1998 collection had a few more tracks, this new release includes a stunning performance of "Oh How Happy" and his last major hit, 1979's "Contact," a 7-minute mix of soul and disco that reached No. 13 on the R&B charts. It also includes his mid-Sixties hits for the Ric-Tic label, like "Agent Double-O-Soul" and "Stop Her On Sight." For Motown fans who thought the only thing that Edwin Starr did was "War," this will be an eye-opener. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED"

"Warning. I downloaded the track 25 Miles off this album and it is a live recording, not the originl chart hit. I haven't heard the rest of the album but the version of 25 Miles that's here is not the original. Very disappointed."
