A Different Kind of Jazz Record

"The above review sums this cd up pretty well. The thing I found most striking about this music is how effectively electronics are used. Too often, "jazz" musicians tend to be very basic in their use of effects. I do not mean just Fusion and Smooth jazzers. Even Ornette's Prime Time and jackson's Decoding Society stick with rather dull basic effects. Here sounds pop up all over the place, creating a wide range of wonderful sounds woven seemlessly into the mix."
