Good debut song, but...

"I've only seen a few episodes of Popstars (as I'm impartial to reality TV shows) but the girls chosen to form Eden's Crush have beautiful voices and harmonize well together. I also admire the fact that the group has a rich multicultural background. I'm sure some people will dislike them because of who they are or how they were formed, but there are always people like that. Those who step back and look at the group from a neutral perspective will realize they really are quite talented. This first single, 'Get Over Yourself' was an excellent choice as a debut song. It's pop/R&B and the lyrics have attitude--I just love songs with sass. ^_^ My mild complaint comes from the fact that 'Get Over Yourself' is the only song on this CD. There are several tracks, but it's all the same song in a different form. I had hoped with this being their debut single, there would have been a bonus song, a remix, or at least an enhanced CD. But what it does include is the album version of the song, the karaoke version, and the Spanish version. There are also five "answering machine" messages from the girls, so younger fans are probably going to be the only ones to care about that...though I must admit that it's cool to hear Nicole speak Hawaiian. :)The only real advantage of getting the single is that you have the song before the album comes out...of course, for most people that will be enough. In any case, this single is probably going to go gold anyway (O-town and Dream did) on the strength of its vocals and good beat. If you like the pop/R&B songs that are on the radio lately, you'll like this song too."
Very catchy and a great debut song!

"I like "Get Over Yourself" a lot. It has a very catchy beat and very catchy lyrics...I even hear myself singing the song or humming it to myself every now and then when it gets stuck in my head. I've just recently started hearing this song being played on the radio.I have to admit that I never watched "Popstars" because I thought it was a lame show and just a copy of "Making the Band", only they were trying to form a girl group instead of a Boy Band. But I was totally wrong! These girls really do have talent and I also agree with one of the reviews saying how they liked that there was a multi-cultural group of girls. But I don't like the way they were trying to get only beautiful and sexy girls in the group. I personally think they were more concerned about the girls' looks than their vocal talents and personalities! These girls look like they could be supermodels or something, and it's like, pul-eeze! Not everyone can look like that. Also, I didn't really like the group name, Eden's Crush. I think that name sounds a little cheesy and lame and babyish. Still, despite the horrible group name and the girls' looks, these group of 5 young girls really are talented and they deserve more credit than what they are getting.I think they will be around for a long time so you'd all better get used to it! Great song and a must buy. The remixes are pretty cool, too."
