"Don't be fooled by the low price like I was. This is my first exposure to LockJaw, and now I'm hooked. His style is a combination of Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins and Scott Hamilton. He really swings."

The best jazz cd purchase for 1998.

"of all the cd's i bought in 1998, this lockjaw set is the best. it's incredible. i've never heard such a heavy-sounding saxophone. after heavy hitter, i bought five more lockjaw cd's and they're all very good. also, check out the artwork by kadir nelson on the cover."
