CD ReviewsOne Of Dixieland's Finest!!! Michael T Darcy | Placentia CA | 06/25/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "To all and any of the fans of Eddie Condon, Wild Bill Davison, Vic Dickenson, Bob Wilbur, and others, you will really enjoy this CD. The sound quality is great. Remastering (1958) occurred in 1989, around the time of Wild Bill's passing. My favorite cut on this CD is the racing Hindustan, with Wild Bill in the lead. When you follow with an unsurpassed clarinet solo (Condon urges Wilbur to take a second round with "go ahead Bob, go ahead now go ahead"), you know the fun has truly begun. Another slower favorite (not with Wild Bill) is Why Was I Born, with lyrical trumpeter Bill Butterfield. Did I forget to mention That's A Plenty? You can't go wrong with this dixieland treasure, now out of print. It is true that some of these tracks are on the two-fer Midnight In Moscow/Roaring Twenties CD. But, Wild Bill's Hindustan and The Song Is Ended are not. Grab this while you can!!!"
