"The Tide made this album under the direction of a producer that was hand picked by the record label. That works but often it doesn't. This is a mixed bag since there are many great tunes on this album. On the other hand, some songs are not really what fans call "Tide" songs. Regardless, it is worth it to have if you are a Tide fan. Real people making real music. Bring back the band sound.

When listening to the remastered album, I still feel fans were shortchanged by the problems with the record company trying to make the band sound different than they should. There are many gems on this album including "This Life Is Ours", "Weak In The Presence of Beauty", "Love Goes On" and "If You Want To Rock" Some of the other songs just didn't work well and this was verified by them being left out of live concert setlists. Still, the band was a real treat to all those Bay Area fans that would take time to go see them play live. Buy the album since it will sell out in this limited digital pressing!
