"I saw these guys open for one of my favorite bands, Mofro, and was absolutely blown away. I wasn't the only one; Mofro, despite playing a great set, sounded tepid and weak in comparison. The live energy definitely transferred to this album, which initially sounds like a homage to classic rock like the Stones and the Band. After you've listened to the album incessantly (which you will, because it's that great) you'll realize that they have created something unique using some of the greatest rock and roll ever made as something of a template. I can't recommend this album enough and have been telling everyone I know about it (and everyone I don't know - I've never written a review before). Anyway, if you're sick of anemic, hipster "Indie Rock" and overproduced pop music, pick this up for music that is fun, full of energy and passion, and excellent musicianship. Also be sure to listen to it all the way through, it's definitely meant to be a "complete album." Now go buy it and find out the earliest possible date you can see Dusty Rhodes and the River Band live. I can only hope they get huge and start a rock and roll revolution."
