Great live performance

"This CD contains a registration of a live show in Porto back in 1995. It's a great introduction to the work of Dulce Pontes, more traditional and pure than the studio albums I know. Among the best songs on the album are Los Indios de Meia Praia, a very beautiful ballad that remains in your mind after hearing it for the first time, and Lagrima (a song of Amalia Rodrigues). Lagrima and the title track are twice on the album because both were repeated at the end of the show. The CD contains a complete text-book. Dulce Pontes is a GREAT live-performer."

"I got O Primeiro Canto and absolutely loved it. This live album was poorly recorded and poorly edited. (Or should I say, not edited) Much of the 2nd CD is a waste, about half of it being applause to the point of distraction. If you already love her and have her other CDs, by all means, get this one too. If this would be an introduction to her music, find a different one. This one leaves a lot to be desired."

"I first heard Dulce's work while at an obscure bar in Japan. Her voice was etrancing...almost heavenly -- and her range was equally impressive. Dulce has been blessed with superhuman vocal chords... After hearing Brisa Do Coracao (the entire album is in Portuguese), I rushed out & bought the CD the very next day. Dulce is a league of her own with this live masterpiece, as she brings listeners on a journey into a new realm. Enjoy."
