Very good introduction to a great guitar artist

"Let me put this to you simply.....Buy this album now!! This is a great introduction to an artist who created a new sound concept. The twangy sounds of his guitar arsenal was the result of some tinkering around with his amplifier and Boom!! Twangyness. In the song 'Because They're Young', you hear his work on a guitar lowered one octave known as a 'Baritone Guitar'. Imagine the lower-end sound with an echoy twang. Oh yeah!! In closing, to put it in a nutshell, if you aren't sure if you want to purchase any or all of Duane Eddys albums (or rather, CD's) and you want a good sampler, this is the one to buy. It's not expensive either, so what do you have to lose?!Thank-you for reading. :) Hope this helps."

"While these are newer recordings of some classics they are still a real treat to listen to.
Duane Eddy is a true original artist. As a young guitar player I had to hear the guy who had those cool LP covers and that great Gretsch guitar.I bought this because of the discount price and it is so easy to throw this on rather than break out the vinyl. The backing band has a more 60s or 70s sound but Duanes guitar is still the star.
The original feel is still there on "The Lonely One".What a simple and beautiful song.Other big standouts for me are the rocking "Ramrod" and the classic "40 Miles Of Bad Road".
Although this is probably not the best way to introduce someone to Duane Eddy it is a very inexpensive way to get a little taste."
