Canadian pianist Renee Rosnes, and her American husband, drummer Billy Drummond, burst onto the jazz scene in the mid-1980s. Since then, they've played with a galaxy of stars, including Wayne Shorter, Archie Shepp, and Joe Henderson, and Rosnes enjoyed a long stint at Blue Note Records. Joined here by bassist Ray Drummond (no relation), the trio turns in a CD composed of elegant and engaging interpretations of pop and jazz standards. They play with the kind of telepathy that comes from years of working together.
